HI Christine, Why doesn't your blog allow anonymous comments? I think if you allowed it, more mothers would be able to write in. I think, some mothers would find it a hassle having to start a google account just to post it here. Why not allow all comments, and then moderate it. Ok, anyways, in response to less milk in one breast, I had that problem, and eventually the one breast ceased to produce milk, except for one squirt a day! haha... but I've been doing this now for 19 months, and baby is thriving well on one breast alone. But set-back is no tight T's for me, coz one boob is sure bigger than the other! haha...
and now, for a question...my baby is now 19 months, and wakes me up way too frequently at night to feed..I feel like it's almost time to wean her...I have tried all sorts of milk powder brand, fresh milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk.... but she will have nothing but mummy's milk. WHat do I do? tx.
My baby is now 8 months old and still on breast milk. I'm also experiencing having one breast less milk than the other.I had this situation when i was expressing milk when my baby was about 4 months. Earlier on both breasts had more or less same amount of milk. I used a double pump and I could see that my right breast had less milk compared to my left breast. So happened that my right breast is smaller than my left. So, does this means that the smaller breast usually has less milk than the bigger one? I'm not sure. Anyway, this didn't affect my breastfeeding. I still feed my baby on both breasts and expresses milk on both as well.
I m mother of 3 month baby boy , i started expressing milk from 2nd month as i have to go for job. Now while expressing milk i noticed that left breast is producing very less milk than right one, ration around 30:70, Is it a matter of concern? Please advice. Thanks
I'm a mom of three children. All breastfed - not without problems, but it was a wonderful experience creating a very close relationship between us.Breastfeeding isn't just feeding & providing protection against illness, it is an amazingly intimate relationship between you & your child, also providing your child with the sense of security they need to venture out into their ever expanding world. Truly amazing is the sense of pride you feel when looking at your growing baby & knowing that from the time of conception everything has come from you. My 1st birth was accelerated & 2nd induced - both extremely painful. For my 3rd, I stayed at home for most of my labour & found that just my moving around & getting myself into different positions the labour was so much more bearable. I would actually say I enjoyed that labour. Following that I developed a keen interest in active birth - so different to everything that I learnt during my midwifery training.
I have a passion to help mothers to try & achieve the kind of birth they would like & to help them breastfeed their babies successfully. This is now my work & probably also my hobby as it involves almost all of my time.
