Less milk in one breast than the other

See Doreen's post under IBCLC Day. Any other tips from moms who have experienced this problem

HI Christine,
Why doesn't your blog allow anonymous comments? I think if you allowed it, more mothers would be able to write in. I think, some mothers would find it a hassle having to start a google account just to post it here. Why not allow all comments, and then moderate it.
Ok, anyways, in response to less milk in one breast, I had that problem, and eventually the one breast ceased to produce milk, except for one squirt a day! haha...
but I've been doing this now for 19 months, and baby is thriving well on one breast alone. But set-back is no tight T's for me, coz one boob is sure bigger than the other! haha...

and now, for a question...my baby is now 19 months, and wakes me up way too frequently at night to feed..I feel like it's almost time to wean her...I have tried all sorts of milk powder brand, fresh milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk.... but she will have nothing but mummy's milk. WHat do I do?

My baby is now 8 months old and still on breast milk. I'm also experiencing having one breast less milk than the other.I had this situation when i was expressing milk when my baby was about 4 months. Earlier on both breasts had more or less same amount of milk. I used a double pump and I could see that my right breast had less milk compared to my left breast. So happened that my right breast is smaller than my left. So, does this means that the smaller breast usually has less milk than the bigger one? I'm not sure. Anyway, this didn't affect my breastfeeding. I still feed my baby on both breasts and expresses milk on both as well.
